Great for a road trip, or a rainy day at home when limiting TV! Both my seven and 11-year-old love this, even my five-year-old likes it and can follow most of the story, so he’s not getting quite all the facts yet, that’s OK! My 11-year-old can recite most of the scientific evidence/theories given in these stories. (I didn’t realize this until we went on a “dinosaur walk“ at a theme park and all the signs were based on evolution and she was getting so frustrated, but also amazed that everything she learned in Jonathan Park about evolution theory was true and that there is amazing evidence for biblical creation and flood And she would point out where the signs were wrong and what those facts were actually showing) My seven-year-old understands them enough from listening to take them to heart, though not quite recite the facts yet. All three of them are able to understand and take to heart the biblical principles provided in the series which I absolutely love! Creation is important, but loving God and living out the book of man’s is even more important and Jonathan Park incorporates that just as much as or more than Science. My only qualm with the series is that it insists on using old king James verses… Nobody talks like that anymore and the meaning is often lost on my kids. Fortunately they do know of many of the verses anyway and can usually make out which they are in regular English.
