Disappointed

I reviewed No Other Gods back in February, and I'm sorry to say that many of my comments about that album apply to this one as well . . . with additions. This album is sadly lacking in content and is slow-paced, and it's often hard to follow what's going on. Over one CD for the whole train scene? Really? The old adventures would have wrapped that up in way less time AND made it easier to understand. We listened to this album on a road trip, and once we finished it we switched to The Copper Scroll. I was really struck by the difference between them. The old adventures are so much more reverent - Isaac's comment about "I wonder what God's cookies taste like" was so disgustingly flippant and typical of modern religion. I didn't appreciate all the speculation about Elijah's Cave that was presented more or less as fact. In The Copper Scroll, when they were talking about the Mountain of Temptation, the scriptwriters were careful to say that there are things that are traditionally accepted but may not be true. Also in comparing the music, the old music was much better - more classic. The new music sounds like a TV adventure show and gets distracting at times.

I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. Think I'll be sticking with the old albums from now on.

A tremendous attention catching h. God honoring exciting auditory adventure

My grandchildren have now grown up with Jonathan Park. They listen to the series over & over. The plots and actors are excellent featuring compelling stories and important Biblical perspectives which reinforce what we are teaching and want them to think about and think through. We thank you for MANY years of worthwhile content and entertaining listening for a wide range of ages. Thank you!

My grandchildren LOVE Jonathan Park CD’s!

These children ages 7-14 listen over and over to these episodes. As soon as a new one comes out I send it to them. Thank you for sharing the truth of scripture with them!
